What do I believe?

I believe that we are all literal sons and daughters of a loving, eternal, omnipotent, Heavenly Father and Mother.

I believe that we lived with them before we came here, and that each of us has that divinity within us.

I believe that only through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, are we able to return to live with them again.  He is the bridge between mortality and immortality.  Only through Christ are we able to live again and eternally progress.

I believe that we are loved beyond our imagining.  We are loved so deeply, so infinitely, that we cannot fully comprehend its extent.  Our Celestial Parents love us, their children, with an equal love.  No matter what.  Whether we are making choices that can harm us and others, or making choices that lift ourselves and others, we are still loved.  The love never wavers - ever.  It is a perfect love, and it is expressed and available to ALL people at all times, if we choose to accept and embrace it.

I believe that our Father wants nothing more for us than our eternal happiness and progression.  He has given us all the guidance that we need (through scriptures, living prophets, personal revelation, and experiences) in order to obtain that happiness.  It is up to us to choose.  He never takes that right away.  But, I know only through Him are we able to find true joy.

I believe that our Father in Heaven has made available to us one of the greatest gifts – the Gift of the Holy Ghost.  With the guidance, comfort, support, strength, wisdom, and eternal love that the Holy Ghost exemplifies, we can know right from wrong.  We can be lead on the path to our exaltation – accomplishing more than we can imagine and receiving blessings beyond expectation -  if we choose to listen.

I believe all good things come from God, our Father, and we can see His hand working miracles around us each day.  His love and witness surround as at all times – in small and great ways.  His greatness and glory can be seen in a single leaf.

I believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ that was established on the earth during His life has been fully restored as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  The priesthood power is again on the earth, and through proper use of this authority are we able to be baptized and receive the endless blessings that our Father has in store for us.

I believe that families are forever.  We are all – each one of us – part of an eternal family.  We are all brothers and sisters.  In this life, we are given unique family ties that can bind us to our ancestors and to our posterity.  We are all linked together through this beautiful family tree.  Not one of us is forgotten.

I believe that the sealing power has been restored to the earth – binding families together into the eternities, and that we can partake of these endless blessings as we attend and serve in the House of the Lord, the Holy Temple.

I am forever grateful for the love and guidance that I have felt through-out my life – testifying of the existence and truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  I feel the direction and love from my Eternal Father and Mother, and from the spirits of those who surround me in this life.

I testify of all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
